Footlight Players of Michigan City will present the comedy "Greetings!" Dec. 4 through 13. Directed by Footlight's Christine Wiegand, the cast features the talents of Steve Rohe, Elizabeth Grote, Jeff Hill, Vickie Cash and Ryan Leonard.  

Michael Clarke's preparation for Australia's Test series against the West Indies peaked this morning when he completed a century for New South Wales on day two of its Sheffield Shield clash against Tasmania. Clarke brought up his ton during the morning session at the SCG in just his second match back from injury, but was dismissed for 106 before the Blues reached lunch at 6 for 390. Steven Smith, fresh off a handy 81 in the Blues' one-day loss to the Tigers, was unbeaten at the crease on 12 with Stuar

The Cleburne Yellow Jacket cross country team won its first district title on Oct. 28 at Midlothian, and carried the legacy a step further with a third-place finish at the regional meet Saturday at Vandergriff park. Cleburne talled 123 points behind second-place Highland Park (92) and champion Frisco Liberty (86). The finish assures the Jackets of a trip to Old Settler's Park in Round Rock on Nov. 14.  

On Monday, St. James City Council members toured the St. James Police Station to address space and security issues that are found there. The area currently has two small offices, no holding area, and a cluttered storage area that isn't large enough. When more than a few people are in the office at a time, space becomes a major issue, as was shown when the council was taking its tour.

They lost a Zoning Board of Appeals hearing on whether they could use the tarp-covered dome in their backyard, where they hold prayer sessions for friends and followers. A similar structure made headlines after three deaths and nearly a score of injuries resulted from a sweat lodge ceremony Oct. 8 in Arizona.
